Shopping Lists

Map Your Store makes it easy to build, organize, and reuse your shopping lists. Add items as you think of them, check them off as you shop, and save your favorite lists as templates so you never have to start from scratch.

How It Works

Your personal shopping list lives in Map Your Store and syncs across all your devices. When you pair a list with a store map, Map Your Store automatically sorts your items by aisle location and can generate an optimized walking route. You can also create reusable templates, import items from recipes or past trips, and let the app predict what you need based on your shopping history.

Managing Your Shopping List

  1. Add items -- Type an item name to add it to your list. Map Your Store suggests items as you type based on your history and common grocery products.
  2. Remove items -- Swipe or tap the delete button on any item you no longer need.
  3. Check items off -- Tap an item while you shop to mark it as done. Checked items move to the bottom of the list so you can focus on what is left.
  4. Select a store -- Choose which store you are heading to and your list items will be matched to aisle locations in that store's map.

List Templates

If you buy the same set of items regularly, save your list as a template. Next time, load the template with one tap and all those items are back on your list. You can create as many templates as you like -- one for weekly groceries, one for party supplies, one for holiday baking, and so on.

  1. Build your list with the items you want to save.
  2. Tap Save as Template and give it a name.
  3. To reuse it later, open your templates and tap Load on the one you want.

Importing Items

Map Your Store offers several ways to populate your list without typing every item by hand:

  • From a recipe -- Paste a recipe URL or text and Map Your Store extracts the ingredient list automatically. See Meal Planning for more on recipe imports.
  • From a previous trip -- Pull items from your trip history to quickly rebuild a past shopping list.
  • AI predictions -- Map Your Store learns your buying patterns over time and can suggest items you are likely to need soon. Accept the ones you want with a single tap.

Collaborative Shopping

Need to share a list with family members or roommates? Map Your Store supports shared lists where multiple people can add items, check things off, and see updates in real time. For full details on collaborative features -- including live cursors, chat, item assignment, and auto-splitting -- see the Collaborative Shopping page.

Tips

  • Use the AI prediction feature if you shop on a regular schedule. It gets smarter the more you use Map Your Store.
  • Save a template for your most common grocery run so you can load it in seconds each week.
  • Pair your list with a store map before you leave the house. That way your items are already sorted by aisle when you arrive.
  • If you are cooking from a recipe, use the recipe import instead of adding ingredients one by one -- it is much faster and catches quantities too.

Shop smarter, not harder.
