Multi-Store Shopping

Sometimes the best deals are spread across multiple stores. Map Your Store helps you plan a single shopping trip that visits two or more stores, with optimized driving routes between them and optimized walking routes inside each one.

Prerequisites

• A Map Your Store account
• Two or more stores saved and mapped in your account
• Items on your shopping list

Steps

1. Create a new multi-store trip. From the Trips section, tap "New Multi-Store Trip." This opens the trip planner where you can build out your shopping run.

2. Add the stores you plan to visit. Search for stores by name or browse your saved stores. Add each one to the trip. You can reorder them later once the route is optimized.

3. Add your full shopping list. Enter everything you need to buy across all stores. Do not worry about which item goes where yet -- you will sort that out in the next step.

4. Auto-assign items to stores (by price or availability). Tap "Auto-Assign" and Map Your Store will distribute your items across the selected stores. It considers:

   • Price -- Which store has the best current price for each item, based on your price history data.
   • Availability -- Which store is known to carry the item, based on aisle mappings and past purchases. You can also manually move items between stores if you prefer.

5. Optimize the driving route between stores. Map Your Store calculates the best order to visit your stores in, minimizing total driving distance. The map shows the full trip route with driving directions between each stop.

6. View cost analysis -- see savings vs single-store shopping. The cost analysis panel breaks down the numbers:

   • Estimated total cost at each store.
   • How much you save compared to buying everything at a single store.
   • Whether the savings justify the extra driving time and fuel.

7. Shop each store with its own optimized route. When you arrive at each store, Map Your Store switches to that store's map and shows you an optimized walking route for just the items assigned to that location. Check items off as you go, then move on to the next stop.

Tips

• Multi-store trips make the most sense when you have good price data. The more receipts you have scanned, the better the auto-assignment works.
• If the cost analysis shows minimal savings, it might not be worth the extra driving. Map Your Store will tell you when single-store shopping is the better choice.
• You can save frequent multi-store trips as templates to reuse them.
