Settings

You can access Settings from the menu in the top-right corner of the app. Here you can manage your profile, appearance, subscription, notifications, and more.

Profile

• Name -- Update the display name shown on shared lists and community contributions.
• Email -- Your email address is managed through your login provider. It appears here for reference.
• Profile picture -- Upload or change your profile picture. This is shown alongside your name in collaborative features.

Theme

Choose how Map Your Store looks:

• Light mode -- A bright, high-contrast interface.
• Dark mode -- Easier on the eyes in low-light environments.
• System default -- Automatically matches your device's light or dark setting.

Your theme preference is saved and applied across all your devices.

Subscription

View and manage your current plan:

• Current plan -- See whether you are on the Free, Premium, or Family plan.
• Upgrade or downgrade -- Switch between plans at any time. Changes take effect at your next billing cycle.
• Manage billing -- Opens the Stripe billing portal where you can update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel your subscription.

Notifications

Control how and when Map Your Store notifies you:

• In-app notifications -- Toggle the notification bell and in-app alerts on or off.
• Push notifications -- Enable browser push notifications to get alerts even when the app is not open. Your browser will ask for permission the first time you enable this.
• Notification types -- Choose which events trigger notifications:
  • Price alerts -- When a watched item drops in price.
  • Shared list updates -- When someone adds, removes, or checks off items on a list you belong to.
  • Proposal status -- When a store change proposal you submitted is approved or rejected.
  • Expiring pantry items -- When items in your pantry are approaching their expiration date.

API Keys

Premium only.

API keys let you access Map Your Store data programmatically through the public API.

• Create a key -- Generate a new API key. The full key is shown only once, so copy it immediately.
• Delete a key -- Revoke an API key you no longer need. Any applications using that key will immediately lose access.

Data

• Export store layouts -- Download your store layouts in GeoJSON or JSON format. Useful for backups or use in other mapping tools.
• Clear local cache -- Remove locally cached store and list data from your browser. This can help if the app feels out of date. Your data on the server is not affected.

Account

• Sign out -- Log out of Map Your Store on this device.
• Delete account -- Permanently remove your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone. Any stores you created that have been cloned by others will remain in the Marketplace, but your name will be removed.
